The Association |
The Association was formed in 1989 for all serving and retired Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm weapons mechanics, known lovingly as "BOMBHEADS".
In addition to the annual reunion, a most informative and amusing, nay at times hilarious, news letter, the 4 x 2, is published on a regular basis by our esteemed Secretary/Treasurer in deepest darkest Kent.
There are new people joining every year and we now have members occupying outposts in Canada, Australia, United States of America, Spain, New Zealand and Cornwall.
NEWS and STUFF The 2007 reunion was another resounding success. The hotel made us most welcome, the 'happy hour' started Friday lunch and was still going when I left Sunday lunchtime!! The latest 4 x 2 is now published and as always is more informative than the Times, more risqué than the Sun and as libellous as Punch ( allegedly). All in all a good read!!!!!! Contact has been made with the Bombheads of today who are joining the Association. We have had contact so far from Ex-Bombheads in Australia, Wales, New Zealand, United States, France, England and a query from Norway for information about a WWII FAA PILOT. We now have a link to other quite brilliant Armourer's sites in Canada, Australia, USA and The UK. |
If you have served, indeed are still serving do get in touch.
We all look forward to hearing from you
